| ESA looks for a name for its next long-term mission to the ISS |
| In May 2009, ESA astronaut Frank De Winne, of Belgian nationality and a member of the European Astronaut Corps, will fly to the International Space Station for a six-month mission. ESA is holding a competition to find a name for the mission. Deadline 15 October 2008. |

The journey will take six months and you will have to travel on your own as there won’t be enough life support facilities for a companion! Draw your own robot to travel with you to Mars which is millions of kilometres away from Earth. Your robot can be any size, shape or form. |

To celebrate a new phase of exploration of Earth’s sister world, the Planetary Society has teamed with ESA to invite youths and adults worldwide to enter the Venus Express Art Contest. |

| Youths won competition and a journey to Svalbard |
| On the 9th September 2005 Lena from Sulitjelma and Attiya from Oslo went on a trip to Svalstat, the receiving station on Svalbard. NAROM was host for the trip. The youths won the drawing from among the Norwegian participants in EUMETSAT’s competition concerning the most enthusiastic and talented satellite meteorologists. |
